We eat a lot of eggs in my family. They're quick and easy, they can be done in multiple forms, they travel well. I recently discovered these Heirloom Eggs and the kids and I decorated them with LaLa Monster Tattly. Most of the time though, we eat brown eggs. Yesterday I spotted quail eggs at the market and bought them on a whim.
Adorable, right? I know. I couldn't resist. I hard boiled most of them (they came in a pack of 15) and they were done in under 4 minutes. Peeling them was challenging but let's face it, peeling regular eggs is sometimes challenging. I packed them in my son's lunch today with leftover turkey wing meat from last night's dinner, roasted sweet potato chips, raspberries and farro. He didn't try the farro last night when it was served with dinner so I figured I'd give it another shot today. We'll see how that goes.
